A series of public awareness conferences were held on copyrights, and this colonial style recruitment poster was created to announce the event.
For this poster, the journey (creation process) was the reward. The illustration was created in pencil, scanned, then an antique font was chosen to accent the colonial theme. The original, black and white, 11×17 inch poster was then photocopied fifty times. Each poster was hand colored with acrylic paints by laying out and painting several posters at once. The wet paper warped and curled when it dried, giving the posters a parchment paper look.
